Auction

Rotary Club of Barrie TV Auction
What a Sucess for 2010!!!

Over $50,000 Raised!

The Rotary Club of Barrie has a number of fund raising events. One of the key fundraisers is the Auction. Started in 1950, The Auction has raised hundreds of thousands dollars for local charities. We are currently focusing on the RVH expansion and Rotary House at the Simcoe Muskoka Cancer Care Centre.

Each year, our club gathers items and services donated by local businesses and professionals and then sells those items by public auction on local cable TV and on the internet. Auction donors benefit from the advertising they receive during the auction and also when successful bidders go to the business after the auction to pickup the goods and services purchased. The consumer benefits by purchasing goods and services at auction prices and by knowing that 100% of the money used to buy the goods and services goes to worthwhile community support. Also the purchaser saves all sales taxes, because our club is exempt from collecting sales tax.
