A message from Our Club President

It’s an incredible honour to serve as President of the Rotary Club of Barrie — a club with a rich history, a compassionate heart, and an unwavering commitment to making our community stronger.

Here in Barrie, we don’t just talk about service—we live it. From supporting local charities and empowering youth, to investing in health, education, and international outreach, our members roll up their sleeves and get to work. I’ve seen firsthand how a simple idea, when backed by the spirit of Rotary and the dedication of our members, can become something truly transformational.

What is Rotary

Rotary is a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
Solving real problems takes real commitment and vision. For more than 110 years, Rotary’s people of action have used their passion, energy, and intelligence to take action on sustainable projects. From literacy and peace to water and health, we are always working to better our world, and we stay committed to the end.

Is there a community service project we could help you fund?

The Rotary Club of Barrie allocates a finite budget annually for community initiatives. Consequently, we meticulously evaluate each funding application, considering the balance between benefits and costs, while also acknowledging other financial requests. Our commitment extends to supporting both individuals and organizations, with a primary focus on contributing to capital expenses and addressing specific needs. It’s important to note that our assistance is directed towards endeavors that directly benefit the local community of Barrie and its residents, emphasizing tangible impacts rather than covering fundraising or operational expenses.
