Rotary Club FUNdraising events
You’ve probably supported The Rotary Club of Barrie fundraisers without realizing it because their focus is fun for you and your family. While you enjoyed live music and a cold one by the lake, learned how maple syrup goes from trees to pancakes, marvelled at the animated Christmas lights by the Lakeshore or savoured music and a slice of pizza after a five kay run through the park, you were helping the Rotary Club of Barrie raise millions of dollars. One hundred percent of these proceeds goes towards making Barrie and the world better.
While having a great time at our events you’re supporting the RVH, Georgian College, Gilda’s Club, Hospice Simcoe, the library, the YMCA, Muscular Dystrophy Canada, the Seasons Centre, Rainbows Canada, Cope Dogs, the Salvation Army and many more. You’ve also helped beautify Barrie with the Centennial Beach Fountain, SouthShore Community Centre, Rotary Islands, Kidd’s Creek redevelopment and a Post Clock at the City of Barrie’s government dock that is a new landmark to celebrate Canada’s Sesquicentennial.
The Rotary Club of Barrie also organizes “one-off” or semi-annual events that are guaranteed to put smiles on your family’s faces! Events like the Chris Hadfield dinner, Sports Celebrity dinner and auction, or the Toronto Maple Leaf Alumni game create special memories.
The Rotary Club of Barrie is all about putting the fun in fundraising! We’ll see you and your family at our next event, or maybe you’d like to join us and make a real difference yourself by “Making Barrie Better”.
